Hi Friends, this post is specifically to share about my dear friend and Sister in law, Katherine Gillespie. (picture on the right) Katherine will be staffing the Community…
I’m writing this blog specifically to honor my Father in Law, John Gillespie. We have just spent the last 2 months in England, and I felt like the Lord asked me to write this.
John is a Man of God in every sense of the word. I have seen him in his family (7 children), in relational struggles, the death of friends, the training of his children, as well as the pulpit.
It’s not uncommon for me to walk up the stairs when we are in England and find John at the top of the stairs, with bible open, contemplating deep in his soul the God who loves him.
He has taught me how to honor and love my wife like Jesus, to discipline my children so that they hope in God, and follow him. To take care of my body as an act of worship to the Lord Jesus. To open my bible and let it awaken my soul, in such a way that lead’s me to love Jesus more.
This father’s day, John Called the men in the crowd to be men of God. It was possibly the most powerful call to Godliness I have heard to men. There is a video of their response attached.
John, and his wonderful wife Tessa, were missionaries in the truest sense of the word to Cornwall, England 20+ years ago, and have truly seen transformation, from the wayward soul returning to the Lord, the provision of abundance of fish when they prayed for the fisherman who could not seem to find any fish. (That catch was so big that the fisherman were all able to pay their mortgages off), and still the transformation of even the young men who were recently hiking and were welcomed in. The one who did not know the Lord soon gave his heart to the Lord after spending time in the Gillespie house.
Thank you John for teaching me what it is to truly follow Jesus in every aspect of your life, and for teaching me the importance of feasting on the word of God. If you ever get a chance to be in Cornwall, make sure to stop by for a cup of tea and a conversation about Jesus with John Gillespie.

A beach worship ministry night on friday nights in laguna beach. Started by Aria, who is part of community transformations. 2 people came to the lord through this. I love it.
Recently as a family we were in South Carolina, visiting Comm Trans partners who are seeing Jesus made famous in their community, speaking in churches, and enjoying southern hospitality. There are many stories to tell, some of which will appear in the coming days, but one I felt to highlight was “The LOT Project”. LOT stands for Least Of These. Our dear friends Jed and Melodie, community transformations graduates and partners were part of the beginnings of the Lot Project. Jed introduced me to Matt Beasley while there and our hearts connected immediately. He’s a fiery, young, laid down lover of Jesus with Tattoos. The evening we had together we spent time with the poor and homeless, talked about the Lord, planned some potential community transformations teams to come down to be part of this, and dreamed about transformation in the community we were in, Anderson, South Carolina. Then we walked over to the “AHOP” (Anderson House Of Prayer). AHOP is next door to the LOT project. The marriage of prayer and missions in a clear commitment to love the poor, share the gospel, and love the Lord together in the house of prayer. There will be much to come on this, as the house of prayer is almost finished with construction, and in the last days the Lord has spoken clearly that Community Transformations and the Lot project/Ahop are to partner together to see transformation. It’s beautiful. All around the world the Lord is awakening Intimacy unto fruitfulness. Check out this video about AHOP and pray for these guys as they pioneer a lifestyle of Prayer and Urban Missions in Anderson, South Carolina.
To his glory
Jeff

In the Lounge at Charlotte Airport, on our way to london. I wonder what the Lord has waiting for us there. So many good things in South Carolina and updates will be up on our new site www.followthereids.com in the next couple of days.
